Summary: Malt & Barley hosts/hostesses ensure the best possible overall guest experience with emphasis on quick, efficient, and friendly customer service, engaging customers, and maintaining a clean and orderly working environment.

Hours of work: Will vary. Malt & Barley is a 7-day-a-week operation. This position requires flexible availability and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules and hours vary depending on business requirements.

General accountabilities:

• Warmly greet customers as they enter the pub
• Seat customers in bar or restaurant area
• Provide exemplary service to customers
• Maintain a clean and orderly seating area including cleaning tables of all glasses and plates as appropriate, wiping tables after use, picking up food & debris from the floor, etc.
• Clean glasses, utensils, and equipment as needed
• Prepare lemons, limes, and other beverage garnishes as needed
• Thorouhgly perform all daily and weekly cleaning duties assigned to shift
• Interact with customers
• Take and manage reservations
• Answer the phone - bartender is the first in line (hosts & servers will assist when they can)
• Take and prepare takeout orders, accept payment from customers

Required qualifications:

• Great entry level position with opportunity to grow within the company
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with other members of the team and the general public

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $14.25 per hour
