Summary: Malt & Barley is hiring a doorman/security; a contract position that will entail thoroughly checking guests COVID vaccine passports upon entry to the restaurant. Hourly rate will be negotiable.

Hours of work: Will vary. Malt & Barley is a 7-day-a-week operation. This position requires flexible availability and hours, inclduing evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules and hours vary depending on business requirements.

General accountabilities:

• Warmly greet customers as they enter the pub
• Ensure enterting customers (excluding those using washroom from the patio and picking up take out) have received both vaccines at least 14 days prior to their visit
• Ensure entering customers are following proper precautionary measures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
• Screening customers to ensure they are free of symptoms and have not travelled outside of the country in the past 14 days
• Act as a liaison between customers and front of house staff assisting when issues arise 
• Assisting, when & where possible, when other duties arise during the shift
• Potential to grow and remain with the company in a similar future role

Required qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with other members of the team and the general public
• Minimum age 18 years old

Contract length: 1 month
